Yen Fong "Jeannie" Brady, the dynamic force behind ERA Brady Associates, has a story that spans continents and cultures. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China, Jeannie moved to the USA in 1971 after marrying her husband, Jack, a native of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. Together, they have one daughter, Mei-Ling, who is now 27 years old and living and working in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jeannie's educational journey began at Pan Chiao High School in Taipei, Taiwan, and continued at Keystone College in LaPlume, Pennsylvania. Her real estate career started in 1984 when she joined the Greater Scranton Board of Realtors (GSBR), where she quickly distinguished herself through hard work and a commitment to excellence. In 1987, Jeannie achieved a significant milestone by earning her Broker's license.
In 1989, Jeannie founded ERA Brady Associates, establishing a firm that would become synonymous with trust and expertise in Wyoming County and beyond. Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in guiding ERA Brady Associates to success, setting the standard for excellence in the real estate industry.
Jeannie's impact extends far beyond her own business. She has dedicated herself to serving the real estate community through various roles within GSBR, including Secretary and Director. Her involvement in committees such as Cultural Diversity, Equal Opportunity, Homes Magazine, Grievance, Newsletter, Multi List, and Strategic Planning underscores her commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive real estate environment.
Recognized for her professional excellence, Jeannie holds several prestigious designations, including ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), and the One America designation. She is also a Certified Broker Appraiser and a life member of PAR Excellence.
Jeannie was one of the first women to join the Tunkhannock Rotary Club in 1989. During her tenure as club president, she established an Interact Club, reflecting her commitment to community service. A graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute and a Paul Harris Fellow, Jeannie currently chairs international service and Interact activities for her club. In 1994, she attended the Rotary International Conference in Taiwan, an experience that deepened her connection to her heritage and her commitment to fostering international understanding.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Jeannie enjoys movies and reading. Her exceptional contributions to the real estate industry and her community have earned her the esteemed Realtor of the Year Award.
